Tall light sculpture with vertical strips of 35mm film and layered colored Plexiglas shapes suspended in a chrome frame
Frames of Interruption

Frames of Interruption is a light sculpture built within a repurposed chrome display frame, lined with vertical strips of 35mm film. Behind them, internal lighting and layered plastic diffuse the light, creating a shifting interplay of shadow, color, and transparency. In the center, Plexiglas rods and rectangles form a suspended core—rigid, luminous, and architectural. The composition balances order and fragmentation, with repeating verticals interrupted by contrasting materials and depths. Visually, the piece draws on the language of Constructivist abstraction, with its emphasis on geometry, layered structure, and material clarity. As with other works in this series, Frames of Interruption gives new life and meaning to materials with a history of handwork and precision, transforming them into a quiet system of light and form.
