Wooden cello sculpture with porcelain busts of women as tuning pegs and a glowing drawer filled with glass beads

Cello with Drawer

"Cello with Drawer" reimagines the classical instrument as a vessel of unexpected associations and quiet surrealism. The familiar form is disrupted: its tuning pegs replaced by porcelain busts, its body hollowed to house a glowing drawer filled with delicate glass beads. The interplay of elegance and absurdity recalls the spirit of 1930s Dada—where function gives way to poetic disruption. This cello no longer plays music, but instead holds light, memory, and mystery in its core, inviting viewers to listen with their eyes.
